Pulstar and Pro-Adjuster

Our office recognizes the importance of the interrelationship of the brain, nervous system and the biomechanics of the body. In sport, work, sleep, daily life, injury, repetitive tasks, human competition and general health and disease this relationship cannot be ignored.

We basically have used and continue to use the very latest technology to improve our patients health. When it comes to the spine and the nervous system we analyze and treat in the most comfortable way. By determining which area of the body needs improvement and treating those areas in a very accurate and effective way we make visits worth much more than patients cost.

WHAT IS THE PULSTAR AND PROADJUSTER INSTRUMENTATION?

The Pulsar and ProAdjuster are sophisticated piezoelectric transducers (sensors) that integrate with computers designed to measure SPINAL motion. Using Piezoelectric technology the instrument testing sensor records then instrumentation under doctor control applies a very light comfortable tap upon vertebral segments throughout the entire spine with corrective force information applied to abnormal segments.

The Advanced Pettibon X-ray technique shows (structure). The Pulstar shows and treats spinal motion abnormalities thus improving function of the spine and nerve system which controls organs and systems throughout the body.

Examination + experience = ART and together they allow accurate measurable data to determine the correct diagnosis in devising a treatment plan and prognosis.

After 30 years in practice intuitive judgment is developed by experience, training, and knowledge and when combined with accurate technology there is a great outcome in results. We do not ignore the value of other Chiropractic techniques and frequently use a wide variety of traditional diagnostic and adjustment procedures.

More about Pulstar

Utilizing the Pulstar exact measurements of motion are computer analyzed and displays the relationship of each vertebra to what is normal and how each segment relates to the entire spine. From this data viewed on a computer monitor the testing sensor (handheld probe) becomes a treating instrument that under control of the doctor and with the impulse force calculated by the computer applies light but extremely fast repeatable and reproducible forces to abnormal segments of the spine until improved motion ensues. The computer calculates the least amount of force needed and lightly treats. As treatment is applied the program senses and displays when vertebral motion has improved. The program automatically stops applying the corrective force when motion has been improved. Batchelor Chiropractic was one of the first few clinics in North Carolina that integrated this space age technology over 12 years ago into patient care. The Pulstar 2014 has the very latest software and sensor development and has shown exceptional accuracy in diagnostics and repeatable treatment with excellent and exciting results. Pregnant women, babies, athletes, osteoporotic spines, compression fractures, Spinal Stenosis to Senior citizens up into their late 90′s and beyond the Pulstar is safe, effective and feels great.

ADVANCED PULSTAR INFORMATION

How does the Pulstar work? To better understand, let’s examine the idea of palpation. When a Doctor of Chiropractor palpates your spine, they are checking for joint fluidity, motion and or rigidity. Improper motion effecting the nerve function is called a subluxation. In a similar fashion to palpation, the Pulstar can determine whether the vertebra’s motion is too rigid or too fluid. The spine should not be too rigid (hypo-mobile). While using and the doctor’s judgment and experience as to what areas are hyper-mobile or hypo-mobile we use the Pulstar to measure objectively precise levels of spinal motion therefore the Pulstar can isolate a spinal problem area faster and more accurately than manual procedures. Not only does it test but graphs results, treats and then graphs results objectively.

Combining Tradition with Technology

(Of course we have utilized manual adjustment procedures for years and will continue to use as needed but we are also open to advanced technology when it has been tested and proven)

If you have ever “flinched” at something, you know exactly what is meant by this. The piezoelectric sensor in the Pulstar instrument responds and registers information instantly and faster than your body’s ability to react.

Therefore, a precise and accurate picture of the extent of rigidity or fluidity of each vertebra is reflected and graphed on a computer screen. A light force is introduced into the vertebra to check motion and is reflected back to the piezoelectric sensor which measures the reflective force, sending a voltage instantly to the computers for interpretation all before the muscles can respond. This is incredible? This is the same technology and same type of instrument that NASA and other engineers have used in the aerospace program in order to evaluate the integrity of the ceramic cooling tiles on the outside of the space shuttle. The aviation industry, as well as many engineers and health related professions have used this technology in order to test and generate measurable current in a wide range of research.

Piezo Technology has been pioneering ultrasonic transducer and sensor technology for critical specialty applications for a century and its technology is found in hundreds of products requiring precision measurements. Chiropractic is able to use this highly sophisticated technology and apply to the human body in order to determine proper function and safe treatment.

Treatment

How can anything so gentle and comfortable change my spine? The Pulstar utilizes a precise oscillating force with uninterrupted motion. It is able to increase the mobility of the spinal segments by reducing or enabling motion in the abnormal areas. In other words, the Pulstar is “unsticking” the joint. Have you ever seen a woodpecker tapping in an oscillating fashion on a tree? It is hard to believe, but you can watch them bore right through the hardest wood! The Pulstar taps in much the same way but uses soft tips that are comfortable to the human body and do not create damage. During testing and treatment and sensor Peizoelectric Transducer (Crystal) instantly evaluates progress records results and automatically stops upon motion improvement. Why is the Pulstar so special? The Pulstar is the most advanced instrument in Chiropractic evaluation and treatment in existence today.

It is a marvel of technology and allows Batchelor Chiropractic to achieve amazing results for our patients!
